My Brother Knights;
I hope you all have been enjoying your summers with family and friends. I want to thank all the Knights and their families who turned out for the July 4th Parma Parade. The weather was nice and fun time was had by all. There was about 50 Knights marching from our council and the councils of Holy Family, St Charles, Mary Queen of Peace and the Fourth Degree of Hoban Assembly. My plan is to organize the Knights to march again in 2018. I hope to see you all there.
Do not forget the food drive will be the next event on the schedule, the weekend of August 5th & 6th. Tentatively, the plan is to leave all the food collected stacked up in the gathering space and carry it over to the rectory after the noon mass begins. Please mark your calendar to be sure and lend a hand.
The annual summer picnic is scheduled for August 13th, 2017 at West Creek Reservation. We have the facility from 10am till 6pm, so let’s mark our calendars and make a day of it. Brs Ron & Mel are planning some games and activities to keep the children involved as well.
Also, do not forget about the Indians game on September 9th, 2017. I have info sheets available after all meetings and you can also find the info sheet on our web site.
The date has been set for this year’s Wing Night Fund Raiser. Once again, it will be held @ Bleachers Bar & Grill on Ridge Rd near Day Dr. The date is Saturday October 28, 2017 from 6-9pm. I believe the football game that evening will be between the Ohio State and the Penn State. Please remember that your donation of a gift basket will truly help our council make this fund raiser a success so we can continue with our mission of Charity, Unity and Fraternity.
